LOCKDOWN -: FROM THE MIRROR OF YOUTH

Its true that our recent census report says that about more than 50% of our population is below 25 years which generally constitutes the youth and adolescents of our country.

We all are witnessing close down gates of parks, religious places, Malls Cinemas, Cafes and Educational Institutions such as School, College , Coachings are also no longer open.

As mentioned above, 50% of our population constitutes the youth portion of our country therefore the greatest effect of “Lock Down” could be seen on our youths because of which our economy is also suffering. Now the question arises that how is youth getting effected with his Lock Down?

It will not be wrong to say that“ it is this specific age group who is full of with innumerable dreams ”.We begin seeing the dreams in our lives early from our child hood but we start giving shape to these dreams during the adolescence and the youth period.

This Lock down has changed the entire picture. Let us first take the teenagers of our country aged between 13 to 19 years, the students studying in classes 7th to 12th fall under this category. This year most of the schools associated with different boards were either not able to conduct their final examination or were unable to complete the full schedule of exams.

Some how during the Lock Down School managed for the online classes but do you think it is sufficient ? Is it beneficial ? or it is just fulfilling the formalities of teaching learning processes.

On the other hand, we have youths who are in mid of their graduation, final year or have completed their graduations . Some may have thought of appearing in different competitive exams while some may have the willingness to opt for higher studies and research programmes. The number of job seeking individuals is also no more less in this group.

But all of a sudden this C OVID-19 PANDEMIC has brought a pause in their lives and dreams. When the time came to reach to their pre determine goals, everything got stuck at where it was!
It is them who are dealing with such an uncertainty where they have no idea of what will be the next ? We all are aware that this whole session is now moving towards DELAYED SESSIONS. This is also bringing boredom, restlessness ,impatience among them. They are preparing for the exams for which there is no CLEAR DATE.

Students are also facing lack of stationary facilities, they are not able to purchase the books required for their preparations. As far as the question of online studies is there, we should not forget that still there are majority of students who do not have Android Phones, Internet facility etc. somehow they were able to make all this possible through visiting cyber cafes, some libraries also provide these internet facilities to students.

But now the scene is the students neither can go to cyber cafes nor they can visit any libraries or such other places which provide these kind of facilities. Those students who belong to remote areas and weaker economic conditions cannot even think of such facilities during this period.

Lastly I would like to conclude that it is not only THE NATION WHICH IS IN DESPAIR, its that energyfull part of population which contributes most in increasing our National Income who is in DESPONDENSE, DISCOURAGED AND HOPELESS SITUATION!
