“Education is essential for human beings, but it cannot be more important than life”

Education in social perspective

Dr. Dilip Agnihotri

Governor Anandiben Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma addressed programs related to higher education. The two programs were different, but their core was the same. Anandi Ben addressed a review meeting in Lucknow through virtual medium. Dr. Dinesh Sharma attended the function of Dr. Bhimram Ambedkar University as the chief guest.

There was a kind of inertia in the previous education system. For four decades, it was said to be necessary to improve it. But the previous governments did not take effective steps in this direction. The Narendra Modi government campaigned for discussions on this for nearly six years. Lakhs of academicians participated in it. He conveyed his views to the government. Only after this the new education policy was implemented. But during Corona there was a disruption. In view of this, the implementation of online education system was ensured.

Education is essential for human beings, but it cannot be more important than life. Efforts were made to maintain the order of education while keeping the students safe during the Corona period. Along with this, emphasis was also laid on the social concerns of educational institutions. Many universities have done remarkable work under this. This included manufacturing of sanitizers to operation of community kitchens. At present, universities are also becoming partners in vaccination and adoption of orphan children. In fact, it is not only social service, but through it students are also getting education about society and nationalism. It is more important to be a good citizen and a good human being than to be educated. Otherwise, even after reaching the position of high and responsibility, the person remains engaged in selfishness. When universities implement social concerns with education, then it has a wide psychological impact on the students. This feeling needs to be developed. The Corona disaster has affected the general system in a big way. Due to this there was a change in the working system of all the institutions. With this, a new responsibility has also increased in the form of disaster religion.

These responsibilities need to be fulfilled in the interest of the society. Governor Anandiben Patel has been making educational and medical educational institutions aware of these new responsibilities. Vaccination campaign is going on in the country and Uttar Pradesh to prevent corona. Anandiben Patel considers the contribution of educational institutions necessary in this. In the recent review meeting of many universities, he gave instructions regarding this. Apart from this, many children have become orphans in the outbreak of Corona. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has implemented a scheme for their upbringing. Its implementation is going on. Anandiben Patel considers the contribution of universities necessary in this also. Merely meeting the material needs of orphans is not enough. They should also get family affection and atmosphere. In this sequence, Anandi Ben said that the university should get 100% vaccination of all its staff, students and their parents. Universities should do the work of adopting children orphaned due to Kovid. Also make arrangements for their proper care. On the other hand, Dr Dinesh Sharma in Agra directed to conduct education with full quality and guidelines. In the upcoming examinations, along with other arrangements, arrangements will also be made for the health of the students. So that they can get treatment sooner if needed. It will be necessary to make all arrangements for corona rescue at the examination centers. He directed to re-start the construction work of the under-construction Government College in Bah and also gave instructions to name the college as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government College. With these arrangements, the examination will be conducted smoothly. The examinations should be conducted in such a way that no complaints related to security arrangements are received. He said that making the examination copy-free is the priority of the state government. Deployment of Static Magistrates should be ensured at each examination centre. The duration of the exam will be maximum one and a half hours. There will be a self-centre system for the girls. Like the Governor, the Deputy Chief Minister also stressed on vaccination. In view of the third wave, he instructed the officials that all other preparations including vaccination and Piku ward should be completed. Let there be no shortage of any kind. Regular distribution of medical kits should be done as per the requirement. Keeping in view the maximum demand for oxygen, adequate provision of oxygen should be ensured. Oxygen plant operation status should be checked regularly. The members of the monitoring committee, ASHA and other personnel should be given training at the block level. So that they can perform their tasks in a better way.
