Hunar Haat will be organised in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur from 18th December and Lucknow from 23rd January: Naqvi

New Delhi.

Mr Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Central Minister for Minorities Affair, today chaired Governing and General Body meeting of Maulana Azad Education Foundation in New Delhi.

Discussion was held on upcoming Hunar Haat to be organised at different places of the country. The next Hunar Haat will be organised in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur from 18th to 27th December, 2020 and Lucknow from 23rd to 31st January 2021 with the theme of “Vocal for Local”. Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Nitin Gadkari and Khadi and Village Industries Commission Chairman Shri Vinay Kumar Saxena will inaugurate Hunar Haat at Numaish Ground, Rampur.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate Hunar Haat to be organised at Shilp Gram, Lucknow from 23rd January 2021. In the coming days, Hunar Haat will be organized at Jaipur, Chandigarh, Indore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, India Gate-New Delhi, Ranchi, Kota, Surat/Ahmedabad, Kochi and other places.

Dates of these “Hunar Haat” will be finalised soon. Besides promoting and encouraging rich legacy of country’s crafts/arts, Hunar Haat has also provided employment and employment opportunities to more than 5 lakh Indian artisans, craftsmen, culinary experts and other people associated with them in the last 6 years.
