Born on 28th
February 1962, Ningombam Jadumani Singh is the inherited son of late N. Mani
Singh and Samjetshabam ningol (N) ongbi Smt. Jandho Devi of Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba
Leikai, Imphal west, Manipur. Grown up as a child artist, taking part in Gouralila, Rashlila in the role of Maha Prabhu and Shree Krishna. His father was a distinguished rational performer
and exponent guru of Nat Sankritana pung and Gouralila, Rashlila, etc.
He closely followed the steps of his father, starting as a Manipuri Dancer, Drummer and Costume designer as well
as helping to dress the artistes.
From the year 1977, he joined Chorus Repertory Theatre and received knowledge of different art forms in the field of Theatre. On the late 1980 he join Natya Ballet Centre, New Delhi and work as a dancer under Smt. Maya Rao. Picked up by B.V. Karanth to employ at Ranga Mandal, Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, he served the organisation for 10 years from 1982.
After working for 10 years as a Musician, Crafts person and Actor in Ranga Mandal he came back to his native state in 1992 and immediately started working in the field of performing Arts, particularly in Theatre and Theatrical Arts.
Traveling in the length and breadth of the country and abroad along with many different eminent Indian Director, he is acknowledged as Actor, Dancer, Musician and Crafts Person in
the field of performing arts.
RECOGNATIONS :
• Awarded Junior Fellowship on “Aharya in Manipuri Tradition” by the Department of
Culture, Ministry of Tourism & Culture, Government of India in the year 2008.
• Receipient of Manipur State Kala Akademi Award, 2008 int eh field of Theatre.
• Receipient of Theatre Centre Manipur Award 2013.
• Recipient of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Kalakshetra Movement National Award, 2013.
• Recipient Of Manipur Sahitya Prarisat Asangbam Minaketen Angang nwa Shahitya

Thiyam, H. Kanhailal, Sanakhya Ibotombi, B.V. Karanth, Alak Nandan, Rudraprasad
Sengupta, K.N. Panikar, Subash Urghata, John Martin etc.
• Directed more than 22 plays including 10 children plays in different languages.
• As a crafts designer, designed more than 10 productions including productions of National School of Drama.
• As a Music Director, worked on many play productions including NSD Student
Production, Delhi and Rangmandal, Bhopal.
• Fight Composed for 6 plays including “Skadgupta”, “Martya Buj”, “Hayawdana”
directed by V.B. Karanth.
• Written 8 (Eight) Children Plays based on “Art in Moral Education”.
• Translated/Adapted on more than 6 plays.
• Translated/Adapted on more than 6 plays.
• Designed more than 8 State and National Festival including Khajurahou Dance Festival.
• Conducted more than 10 Theatre Workshop and conducted theatre related class in national levels.

• Actively involving in Children’s Theatre with ST & SC dwelling in the nooks and
corners of the North East States of India under the theme of “Art in Moral Education”.
